Buffer tank Compensation Temperature can be used with all types of cascade algorithms (Parallel Function, e ) since it is a standalone algorithm.
It does not affect the production of Domestic Hot Water in any way.
If the sensor in the buffer tank is not set to the Opentherm Heating/Cooling generators, the set point arriving from the switched on circuits will be passed directly (including the fixed offset that can be set for the sources).
This algorithm makes it possible to automatically compensate for any temperature losses due to the presence of heat exchangers or buffer tanks between the Opentherm generators and the circuits.
The control used is PI (Proportional and Integral), in this case the error is the difference between the set point arriving from the circuits and the temperature read from the buffer tank sensor (more or less its correction):
The coefficient P multiplies the error by amplifying it
The I coefficient takes into account the variation of the error over time
The result of the PI calculation is a correction of the temperature required to the generators by the circuits (increasing or decreasing), this result is the temperature delta shown in the Corr. (°C) which can never exceed the maximum upward or downward correction.
When the sensor exceeds the set point plus the delta OFF, the request to the generators is suspended, if instead the sensor drops below the set point plus delta OFF minus the hysteresis ON, the request to the generators is restored (if these parameters are left at zero, they are not considered).
