Energy Monitoring

Energy Monitoring reports data read via Modbus from electricity meters (maximum 4) via REG-UGW-485 with dedicated firmware (Instant V is power kW, while Cumulative is energy kWh). Therefore, on the UGW page it is necessary to have an ad-hoc configuration, for more details please refer to electricity meters manual.

If the UGW page is not programmed, no value will be shown in these boxes.

Meters/Cost allocators/Timer

In the meters section it is possible to supervise possible meters/timers in two ways:

  1. If, in the Pulse Channel, an analogue input from IA1/0 to IA8/0 (analogue input of the REG-DIN-8 only) is selected, the REG System counts how many times the input is ON when the contact is closed in the enable channel. If nothing is configured in the enable channel, it always counts. It reports the count in the first column of Actual V., when it reaches 1000 it reports 1 in the second column and starts counting again in the first column. Therefore, for example, if you read 100 in the first column and 2 in the second, the system has received 2100 pulses, if each pulse is 1 kWh the meter has recorded 2100 kWh.

  2. If, in the Pulse Channel, SEC has been selected, it is mandatory to have an input assigned to the Enable channel. When the Enable channel contact is closed, the REG System counts the ON seconds and reports them in the first column of Actual V. At 3600 seconds it reports 1 in the second column (1 hour) and starts counting the seconds again in the first column. Therefore, for example, if you read 1800 in the first column and 2 in the second one, the system has counted that the contact has been closed (ON) for 2 and half hour. For example, the activation signal of a source could be used as a contact to supervise the working hours.
