Normally, zones operate in seasonal mode, that is with logic to heat when the system is in winter mode and with logic to cool when the system is in summer mode. It is possible to modify this standard behavior to configure zones that:

  • Always operate in Heating mode, even though the system is in summer mode

  • Always operate in Cooling mode, even though the system is in Winter mode

  • Operate similarly to the DHW Subsystem (see USE A ZONE AS DHW SUBSYSTEM)

If a zone is in Special Work mode Heating in both summer and winter, it activates below a certain set point; vice versa, a zone in Special Cooling Mode in both summer and winter always activates above a certain set point.

For these zones, hysteresis are different and are specified in Configuration 2:

It is always better to set them, otherwise the zone will keep turning on and off if the associated sensor temperature fluctuates around the set point.
