It is recommended to use firmware versions consistent with the RegConfig version you are using to connect to the REG-DIN-8 board.

Firmware version can be seen either on the REG-DIN-8 display, in the example it is 4.23:

or on the Configuration 1 page of RegConfig under Diagnostic Information, in the example it is 4.23:

While the RegConfig version can be seen in the top-left corner once it has been opened, as in the previous photo, or while opening:

  • Using a newer RegConfig version than the REG-DIG-8 firmware could lead to see/set more functions than the REG actually handles, with the result that expected logic will not be executed.

  • Using an older RegConfig version than the REG-DIN-8 firmware could lead to see logics that cannot be explained, because the RegConfig is likely to be missing cells or drop-down menu that justify them.
